2nd stage of the Ain Bugey Valromey Tour 2018

A completely atypical 97.5 km second stage. It will start from AOSTE, a town in northern Isère (38), which has already hosted the Critérium du Dauphiné. The 25° Km of this bumpy, tormented course will be conducive to repeated nervous attacks, until the return to AOSTE at Km 27. Then a very flat flat, should allow those still behind to regroup, if they still have the energy, until the first SPRINT at the top of the côte de Peyrieu. After that, it'll be too late, as the route des Combes bump des Combes, classified as a 2nd category climb. As in 2017, it can literally split the peloton in two. the peloton into two parts. To reach the finish, there will be another 38 km with many small bumps and three GPMs before the finish. The latter, 1 km flat after the last GPM, should allow for a counter-attack by a strong rider, who will have chosen between the mountain jersey and stage victory.
